The history of Pamca Ghana chapter
The idea to form a chapter was conceptualised through discussions with the PAMCA parent during the scientific conferences held in other African countries. This was led by Prof. Samuel K. Dadzie who eventually became the founding President of the Ghana Chapter. There were various discussions among the Ghanaian PAMCA members to form a chapter in Ghana and on the 3rd October 2019, the first meeting of PAMCA-Ghana took place at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), University of Ghana. The Ghana Chapter was officially formed and incorporated as a non-governmental organization in December 2019. The other founding executives were: Dr. Fred Aboagye-Antwi (Vice-President), Dr. Jewelna E. B. Akorli (Secretary), Miss Joannitta Joannides (Deputy Secretary), Mrs Otubea Owusu Akrofi (Organizer), Mr Andy Asafu-Adjaye (Deputy Organizer), Mr Osei Kwaku Akuoko (Deputy Organizer), Miss Rebecca Pwalia (Treasurer), Dr. Kwadwo K.
